Turbo News (bi-monthly).

Grand National Racing Association (an affiliate chapter of the GSCA). Last year we had 106 members, all with turbo Buicks. This makes us the largest all turbo Buick chapter in the GSCA. So far this year we're up to 60 members already. Our main goal is to drive the Mustangs and small block Chevys owners nuts. It's working!! They've called us the BLACK PLAGUE! We have a bimonthly newsletter called the Northwest Turbo News. Club dues $25 Cdn / $20 US per year. Presently exchange newsletters with the Chicagoland Chapter, the Northeast Chapter, the MGNTA Chapter, and the Gateway Chapter of the GSCA. Even Richard Lasseter of the GSCA wears one of our "BLACK PLAGUE" T-shirts. Cheers, Gunther Gottgetreu (Officer data 08/01/2002)

The Southwest Chapter became an official GSCA Chapter a little over three years ago.  Having approximately 40+ members they are growing into the Phoenix area which will bring about some pretty amazing Buicks!  The newsletter is called the GS/BS (that stands for Gran Sport/Buick Stuff!) which is published about 4 times a year.  Barry Campbell is the Director, and the Assistant Director is  Dick Zwieg. An annual Buick Performance weekend is held at Southwestern International Raceway at the Pima county Fairgrounds in Tuscon in mid-August.. Called the Chunk Wilson Memorial Weekend, after a member of the Chapter, who was a Buick enthusiast and a racer.  Chuck passed away on the opening night at the track doing what he loved doing.  In his honor S.I.R., the local BCA Chapter and the Southwest Chapter of the GSCA have joined together to make this weekend in his memory  (Information updated 02/03/00)

Newsletter

The South Florida Turbo Buick Club caters to owners of turbocharged Buick Regals, Grand Nationals and TTAs.

The South Florida Turbo Buick Club began holding meetings in January 2002 at the Towershops car show. Over thirty Turbo Buicks were in attendance, even though the meeting was not advertised.

The regular club meeting is the last Friday of the month at the Towershops car show in Davie. The Towershops car show is located on the South East corner of I-595 and University drive, in Davie. The club meets behind the Taco Bell. Meet is from 6-whenever. Towards the end of the meet we typically do a late night cruise to different locations.

The club also has regular meets at La Carreta on Bird road in Miami and at Moroso in West Palm Beach.

The club is organizing meets at two Buick car shows and a Florida Marlins game in April; as well as day trips to "Snake Road", a "Dyno-Day", and a trip to Daytona, in March. A trip to Bowling Green in June is also in the works. By Shawn (Jsta6) on February 22, 2002

Founded in August 1998, we currently have 50 members. There are 2000 TR owners in Michigan, so the numbers will grow significantly if everyone does their share and spreads the word. Our first newsletter will be distributed the week of January 25, 1999. We had a tech session January 23rd at Modern Musclecar. It was great. We had a nice Christmas party. We had a few track and cruise dates last year also. Right now we have no formal meetings planned.. Thanks Jeff Fox

Founded in November 1996 the Houston Buick Club serves the Gulf Coast area of Texas and Lousianna. The 71 (and growing) members pay $10.00 a year dues payable in November. Monthly meetings are held at Conley's Shop or various restaurants or other locations and Houston Raceway Park, or the Lone Star Raceway Park (in Sealy, TX)

For 2001 they are working on a dyno day, track rental at Lonestar Raceway this spring, various tech sessions, mod/tune fests, cruise/street action nights, and a possible event (B-O-P or Domestic VS Import) at the Sealy track in the fall.

Primary interest or discription of Club is to talk Buicks, race Buicks, cruise Buicks, learn Buicks, & enjoy Buick Friends. The Houston Buick Club participates in the Oklahoma chapter events, Lone Star Mini Nats, and has plans for future.
