The first annual fall Chicagoland GSCA picnic was held on September 20th. The weather turned out to be perfect to bring the Buicks out in force. The following pampered vehicles joined our picnic and brought their caretakers: 87 GN Jesse Rodriguez 87 GN -Dave Anderson, 87 T-Regal -Tom & JoAnn Mogler, 71 GS 350 Stratomist Convertible - Brad & Debbie Berger, 69 GS 400 Sherwood Green - Dave Hartman, 70 GS Stage 1 Sherwood Green - Dave and Lee Brooks, 72 GS Stage 1 Sherwood Green -Greg Stilp, 69 Skylark 350 White - Bob Sr. and Carol Nunes, 69 GS 400 Sherwood Green Convertible - Bob Jr. and Tina Nunes, 84 T-Type Designer Black and Grey - Marilyn Bacher, 87 T-Type Rosewood - Wayne Bacher, 70 GS 455 Diplomat Blue - Bernie Rekus . . . . . . . . later sold to Shari Bonecutter, 87 GN - Fletcher Holmes & Cleo Powell, 87 Grey T-Regal - Javier Ontiveros, 87 GN - Herb Schmitz, 76 Firemist Red Riviera - Rich and Carol Fitzmaurice, 87 T-Type - Johnny Gribble, 97 Regal GS Black - Justin Spina.
In all we had 62 people enjoy the Buicks and food . Dave Hartman won the trophy for the most beer delivered, Marilyn Bacher won her trophy for her famous oriental potato salad, and Carol Fitzmaurice won a trophy for wonderful cherry cake dessert. JoAnn and Tom Mogler should get an honorable mention for their detailed (you know Tom can not stop detailing to perfection) cheesecake. Many other great dishes were brought that made the picnic.
